What is Bosque Nagal?
Bosque Nagal is a Fintech company which protects tropical dry forests and their biodiversity in order to contribute to the preservation of a healthy environment for humanity; being socially, environmentally and financially sustainable.
Where we plant?
Our forest is located in the Municipality of Pailitas in the Department of Cesar in Colombia. As a result, the planted and mature trees are protected by the rural families in the area.
WHAT BOSQUE NAGAL DO?
We conserve forests together with the rural families surrounding the area
We reforest affected areas with specific trees which belong to native species
We help people and companies to reduce their environmental footprint through the planting of trees.
WHY DO WE DO IT?
We take on the challenge to protect, restore and manage the sustainable use of resources belonging to tropical dry forests. Because they represent the highest rate of forest loss at 45% (largely due to deforestation). For this reason, we reduce desertification, degradation of ecosystems, the disintegration of rural families and, above all, biodiversity loss.
Oxygen emission
Trees allow to generate oxygen at the same time that they purify the air. Our forest produces more than 14,000 oxygen tons per year.
Watershed
Allows water sources creation. It also protects soil by preventing erosion. In our forest there are already two water sources.
Fertile soils
Improves ground conditions. Consequently, the flora and fauna increase in the area.
Protect wildlife
Wildlife uses the forests as a refuge. Besides, trees reduce soil temperature, ideal for thousands of animals.
Mitigate environmental impact
Reduce permanent damage to the environment and maximize benefits, to ensure a balance where we live and make use of natural resources without destroying them.
Protect several species
Different types of animals; from birds and insects to folivores, inhabit tropical dry forests. Therefore, they require fauna and flora to be able to survive in an adequate space.

Biological wealth in our territory means a broad quality of life for the planet in general. However, this richness is threatened due to the reduction and fragmentation of habitats.

We finance reforestation projects with rural families who do not have access to banking and we give them income alternatives.

Rural families are essential for quality food production, biodiversity conservation, supply and consolidation of local markets and cooperation networks in rural areas.
You can carry out ecotourism and take your family or friends to live a rural experience with Bosque Nagal.
The rural experience includes: Food, snacks, lodging, transportation from Pailitas to the forest and personalized guides.
People who wish to visit the forest must inform a week in advance. You are able to schedule your visit from our contact form or our social media pages.
Our forest is located in the Municipality of Pailitas in the Department of Cesar in Colombia. There our trees are adopted nationally and internationally. Don’t worry, when adopting a tree we will send you the GPS location.
Once you receive a tree´s GPS location you will be able to access the exact location of your tree through latitude and longitude coordinates within a geographic information system. Access here to see tutorial:
If a person or company cannot continue sponsoring the tree, Bosque Nagal will continue to care for it until its adult stage. However, the person or business will not be able to continue their assigned benefits. Noneless, you can recover your sponsorship at any time.
